Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Purchase information. When you buy, our payment processor collects your name, email address and payment details. We receive a record of the purchase and your email address. We do not receive or store your card number, and it never passes through our servers.
• Support correspondence. If you email us we keep the thread and your address so that we can answer you and pick the conversation back up later.
• Server logs. Ordinary web-server records — pages requested, approximate location derived from the network address, device type and referrer — collected automatically and used to keep the site working and to spot abuse.

We do not ask for, receive or store your broker credentials, your account balance, your trading history or anything else about your account. The software runs on your machine and reports nothing back to us.

What we use it for

• Delivering what you bought and keeping your download link working.
• Answering support, and sending service messages about a purchase you have made.
• Operating and securing the site.
• Meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations, and preventing fraud.

We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anybody, for any price.

Who else sees it

Only the service providers we need in order to operate: our payment processor, our hosting provider, and whichever service delivers our email. Each sees only what its job requires. We also disclose information where the law genuinely requires it of us.

How long we keep it

Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which in practice means several years. Support threads are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Server logs are short-lived.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. Email [email protected] and we will action it. We will not ask you why, and we will not make it difficult.

One limit worth stating honestly: we cannot delete a purchase record we are legally required to retain for tax purposes, and deleting your record does not extend or reinstate a licence.

Where information is processed, and how it is protected

Your information may be processed in a country other than your own, including by the providers named above. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it — encrypted transport, access limited to the people who need it, and secrets held outside the application database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and anybody who tells you otherwise is selling something.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
